Style Today: Beauty & Brains Bangles

This little collaboration started when I saw that one of my friends was starting a business making these awesome bracelets. I've always wanted some of these bracelets, but couldn't bring myself to pay the price. So, as soon as I saw that she was making them I reached out to see how much they were and learned that they are less than half of the price of the competition I was so excited and asked to collab. When we decided to collab I had just bought this dress from Forever 21 (for only $10!), so I sent a picture of it to the girls at Beauty & Brains Bangles to get a stack made to go with it. They made a beautiful arrangement of black, white, gold, and pink. That's the beauty of this company, you can pick the exact beads that you want in your stack and they'll make it!

 

 

I paired my $10 Forever 21 dress with some sheer black tights from H&M and black suede pumps from the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohls (these shoes are exactly the same as the ones I wore in last weeks Style Today post, except in black). Other than the Beauty & Brains bracelets, I kept the other jewelry simple. I wanted this look to be about the bracelets.

 

 

Lastly, for my hair I went with a messy fishtail braid. The dress is quite structured, so I wanted to go with a deconstructed hairstyle to contrast it. TBT: Military Vest

Happy Thursday, y'all! The work week is almost over and the weekend is well on it's way!

Now, I don't usually participate in TBT (throwback Thursday), but my Timehop inspired me to!

I'm going to show you two looks I wore exactly one year apart without even realizing it!

One year ago Saturday.

Saturday.

Weird, right!? When I put this look together last Saturday, I had no idea I had worn almost the same outfit a year earlier. Although the looks are extremely similar, the only piece that is the same is the vest. So, I simply updated this look a little.

In the look I wore a year ago, I paired this military vest with black jeans, a cotton beige top, and rose gold flats. When I wore it this Saturday, I paired it with faux leather leggings, a cream chiffon top, and my alligator print cutout booties.

Style Today: Class Act

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you are having an awesome weekend, I know I am! I've had a pretty chill weekend of hanging out with friends and family, which I haven't been able to do lately because of work, so it's been nice!

Today's look is a little classy, a little trendy, and a lot of fun!

 

 

 

 

From afar, this looks like a simple black skirt and a grey tank right? Well, that is not the case! This lovely LC Lauren Conrad midi skirt has tiny little polka dots. I absolutely love this skirt! You might remember the last time I wore it: Fashionably Late. 

 

 

 

 

And this top is not a simple grey tank. This top is also LC Lauren Conrad and it is the cutest little lace crop top. I bought it in the middle of fall and haven't had a chance to wear it yet. I got this top for $7.20 at Kohls.

Guess what brand my shoes are... if you guessed LC Lauren Conrad then you are right! Can you tell I adore her line?

 

 

 

 

As far as accessories go, I decided to keep it super simple with this look in order to keep the class level up. I wore a silver Fossil watch and a single drop crystal necklace. That's it.

 

 

 

 

This morning it was slightly chilly, so I threw on my denim jacket. I feel like this time of the year is THE best time to rock denim jackets. It's perfect for transitioning into spring. Also, sorry to those of you who are still knee deep in snow. Here in FL it's a beautiful 75 degrees today :)

Casual Friday

"It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!" Does anybody else get that awful song stuck in their heads on Fridays? It's horrible, but it doesn't matter, because it's Friday!

Today I'm rocking a look inspired by a Pinterest look I found.

I love this look! And I love finding outfits on Pinterest that recreate with pieces I already own. There's nothing better than seeing a look and saying, "I have the pieces for that look in my closet!"

TIP: For those days when you feel like you have nothing to wear, pick a piece from your closet and search it on Pinterest for some pinspiration.

 

 

Today I was wanting to put together an outfit I haven't worn before, but I knew I wanted to wear my black jeans. So, I went to Pinterest and search "black jeans outfit". And that's how I came up with this look! Not that's it complicated, but it's just something I hadn't thought of wearing before.
