Pocahantas Style - 20% off

Happy Memorial Day, guys! I hope you take time today to think about the sacrifices that have been made for our freedom. People who didn’t even know us died so that we could be free. To me, it paints a picture of Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross. To think about a stranger dying for you is inconceivable.

I’m so excited about today’s post! Today I’m showing you my first EverlyBelle's look that you can buy for 20% off this week with the code ATR20! Also, major props to my hubby for taking these pictures! He is really getting good :):)

This dress, you guys. When I put it on I fell in love! The material is extremely light (you will need a slip under it) and flowy and it just feels great on. I love the whole vibe of this dress. It feels very “Pocahantas” to me. It has a really easy going feel.

My favorite part about this dress is the intricate detail along the neckline. This is such a simple dress, but all of that embroidery just gives it a special touch. I paired this cream EverlyBelle's tassel necklace and my turquoise stone necklace together, because they bring out the colors in the dress so well. I also wore some EverlyBelle's bracelets with a watch to add some details to the look.

So, this dress is priced at $34, which is already a good price for a boutique item, but if you use the code ATR20 you can get it for less than $28! Don’t miss this deal you guys! Another reason I would encourage you to buy this or any other EverlyBelle's piece is because I think we should support small businesses. Especially, if you’re in the Tampa/Brandon area, you should support this local business! Brandon doesn’t have enough boutiques and I want this one be successful :)
Find all of the EverlyBelle's pieces I’m wearing here // Dress // Necklace// Multi-Stone Bracelet // Turquoise Bracelet
Get all of these pieces or just get a few, but you should really to advantage of this offer. Seriously, it’s a steal!
*Again, the code is ATR20*
Enjoy :)

Trends to Try: NYFW to your closet

Happy trend day Tuesday! I don’t know about you, but last week I completely obsessed over what was happening and New York Fashion Week. I was drooling all over the screen as I looked at the runway looks. So, today I’m showing you some of my favorite trends from the runway and showing you a practical way to wear them!

1. Fringe.

NYFW Fringe
This look was shown by Marchesa, along with many other fringe looks. The whole feel of this show was very Gatsby-esque. It was amazing!
Fringe
This is an adorable fringe dress you can find at Forever 21! Fringe may seem intimidating, but this dress can be worn by anyone. It’s really casual and perfect for spring!
2. Appliques.
NYFW applicaysHow great is this look by Michael Kors!? This line was full of neutral colors with cool textures and prints, one being this applique dress.
AppliquesI found this adorable applique dress at ASOS. This trend was little harder for me to find, but I think it is so cute. I am in love with this ASOS dress!
3. Leather Details.
NYFW leather detailsThis leather detail dress was shown by Calvin Klein. This line featured a lot of different pieces with leather details.
Leather detailsThis Blue Fly dress is the perfect leather detail dress! I love the distressed plaid pattern in the middle and the leather belt.
Which NYFW trend is your favorite?
Enjoy :)

Trends to Try: Bathing Suits!

As much as we would like to pretend that it's far away, bathing suit season is right around the corner. Well, at least in FL it is. Spring break is less than a month away, which means it's time to go bathing suit shopping!
So, I'm bringing you some trends I've been noticing on Pinterest when it comes to bathing suits.
1. High neck tops.

Made by Dawn // O'Neill Top & Bottom
I LOVE this trend! I think it is so cute and new. The bathing suit on the left is a Made by Dawn suit. This Made by Dawn suit is definitely a splurge, but you can find the one on the right at Bealls, for my FL people. It's an O'Neill suit, and while it's not cheap it won't break the bank as much as the Made by Dawn suit.
2. High waisted bottoms.

Now, high waisted bikini bottoms aren't new, but they are back this bikini season. I personally don't own any, so I'm really hoping to get some this year! One of the things I love about high waisted bikini bottoms is that they are flattering on most body types. They cover up that area that no one likes (unless you have a six pack), but still gives you the bikini look.
3. Sporty suits.

These sporty bathing suits are for those girls who don't like to just lay around when they go to the beach. These suits are perfect for being active on the beach without worrying about anything popping out! I for one get bored just laying around at the beach, so I'll be on the look out for a well priced, sporty bikini!
Let me know which style you love!
Enjoy :)

Style Today: Beauty & Brains Bangles

Alright everyone, it's here! The post featuring the beautiful bracelet stack I posted on instagram. AND if you read all of the way to the bottom you'll find a special deal on a stack just for my readers!

wpid-20150215_122950.jpg
This little collaboration started when I saw that one of my friends was starting a business making these awesome bracelets. I've always wanted some of these bracelets, but couldn't bring myself to pay the price. So, as soon as I saw that she was making them I reached out to see how much they were and learned that they are less than half of the price of the competition I was so excited and asked to collab. These bangles start out at only $10, but you can get 2 for $18. How great is that!?

wpid-20150215_122954.jpgWhen we decided to collab I had just bought this dress from Forever 21 (for only $10!), so I sent a picture of it to the girls at Beauty & Brains Bangles to get a stack made to go with it. They made a beautiful arrangement of black, white, gold, and pink. That's the beauty of this company, you can pick the exact beads that you want in your stack and they'll make it!

I paired my $10 Forever 21 dress with some sheer black tights from H&M and black suede pumps from the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohls (these shoes are exactly the same as the ones I wore in last weeks Style Today post, except in black). Other than the Beauty & Brains bracelets, I kept the other jewelry simple. I wanted this look to be about the bracelets.

Lastly, for my hair I went with a messy fishtail braid. The dress is quite structured, so I wanted to go with a deconstructed hairstyle to contrast it. Also, if you're wondering if I really splurged for those sparkly Kate Spade earrings, think again. These earring were a gift from my friend Rechael and she made them herself! Check her out at adaydreamlove.com!
OKAY, as promised, I have a little deal for you guys!
When you order 3 or more bangles from Beauty & Brains Bangles, you will get 10% off when you mention All Things Recessionista!
To order, visit their Facebook page Beauty & Brains Bangles and simply send them a message saying what you would like. And don't forget to mention All Things Recessionista to get your 10% off on 3 or more!
Believe me, you are going to love their bangles and you are definitely getting a great deal!
Enjoy :)

TBT: Military Vest

Happy Thursday, y'all! The work week is almost over and the weekend is well on it's way!
Now, I don't usually participate in TBT (throwback Thursday), but my Timehop inspired me to!
I'm going to show you two looks I wore exactly one year apart without even realizing it!
One year ago Saturday.
wpid-img_20140209_172743.jpg
Saturday.
wpid-20150207_192753_lls.jpgWeird, right!? When I put this look together last Saturday, I had no idea I had worn almost the same outfit a year earlier. Although the looks are extremely similar, the only piece that is the same is the vest. So, I simply updated this look a little.
In the look I wore a year ago, I paired this military vest with black jeans, a cotton beige top, and rose gold flats. When I wore it this Saturday, I paired it with faux leather leggings, a cream chiffon top, and my alligator print cutout booties.
Here's more on the updated look.

Side note: I got these leggings from Kohls from the LC Lauren Conrad line for only $7.20!
I hope you like today's TBT look!
Enjoy :)

Trends to Try: Spring trends

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Did you catch my post yesterday about some memorable fashion moments from the Grammys? if not, go check it out by clicking here.
Today I am here to brighten your day with some Spring trends! Believe it or not, Spring is right around the corner, so I've been searching the runways for some fun Spring trends to bring to you! I'll be showing a look from the runway and a street style look.
1. Scalloped hems.

This trend is so adorable, right!? I am loving it! Oscar De La Renta showed this green, scalloped dress for his Spring 2015 line, but it is popping up in stores everywhere! This faux leather scalloped skirt can be found at Forever 21 for under $20.
2. Palm print.

What screams Spring more than a palm tree print? Almost nothing! This print is so cute and there are so many different varieties of it out there. Although, you should be careful with this trend as it could turn into an throwback look if you're not careful.
3. Shoulder cutouts.

Shoulder cutout are back! I remember when I was in high school and I thought those types of shirts were so cool, but I never had one and now I'm getting a second chance! Vera Wang showed this look for her Spring 2015 collection and while it's not too extreme, it is extremely expensive, but don't worry this style is in most stores for spring!
Hopefully I have given you something to look forward to other than warm weather for Spring!
Enjoy :)
